How verification works

Every Great Lakes credential is signed with Ed25519 against an issuer did:key embedded in the credential itself.

The verifier checks five gates: signature, issuer identity, validity window, revocation status, and (when present) a blockchain anchor for tamper-evident timestamping.

Verification doesn't require an account. Recruiters, sponsors, and partner institutions can paste a credential here directly.
